FAQ regarding applications for work at the DZNE

Yes, you may apply simultaneously for various different positions within the DZNE. To do so, please upload your application materials for each position separately, using the links at the end of the relevant job postings.

The person to contact in each case is listed in the sidebar on the page with the job posting you are looking at. If the person's direct extension is not included, you can reach them by calling our headquarters (Tel.: + 49 228 43302-0) and having them connect you.

A good rule of thumb is to use the language used by the job posting itself. Otherwise, the DZNE is an international organization, and it normally welcomes applications in both German and English.

In cases in which the materials are not explicitly listed in the job posting, we recommend that you submit the following:

• Motivation letter (cover letter)
• Curriculum Vitae
• Diplomas
• Employer references

As soon as our system receives your application, it will automatically generate and send you a confirmation of receipt. If you don't receive such a confirmation within the first 30 minutes after you submit your application (please also remember to check your spam folder!), please contact our Human Resources Department (Tel. +49 228 43302-134).

The job listings currently posted on the website https://www.dzne.de/jobs/ include the available positions for which you may apply. 

Job portals can include links to the DZNE, and sometimes they fail to remove such links after the job openings have been filled.

An application link to an Internet job posting may return an error message such as the following: "The job posting you are trying to reach is no longer available." This indicates that the application deadline for the position has passed and that you can no longer apply for it.

Once the application deadline has passed, we take up to two weeks to screen the applications we have received. We ask that you remain patient throughout this period. Our Human Resources Department (Tel. +49 228 43302-134) is happy to provide information regarding the current status of your application, however.

Normally, we contact you by e-mail, although in some cases we do call. Please be sure that your contact data in your application are up to date.

We are sorry to say that we cannot accept unsolicited applications. All of our currently available positions are posted on our website, and we invite you to apply for one of the posted positions. The reason why we do not consider unsolicited applications has to do with the large numbers of applications that we regularly receive. We kindly ask for your understanding for this policy.

In general, the DZNE offers internships, subject to available capacities (time/staff).
