Joint Press Release by the DZNE and the University of Tübingen
Tübingen, Germany, January 27, 2016. High ranking representatives of politics and science inaugurated the new building for the DZNE on the grounds of the University Clinic Tübingen today. In the long term, this building will accommodate up to 150 scientists conducting research on nervous system diseases such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s to develop new preventative, diagnostic and treatment strategies. The construction costs totaled EUR 15.9 million, which are split between the DZNE, the University’s Medical Faculty and the University Clinic Tübingen. The DZNE has permanent right of use. The Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg provides EUR 3.25 million to cover planning expenses and initial setup costs.
