Our medicine is called research - The new DZG magazine "SYNERGIE".

Hot off the press: The first issue of the (German only) DZG magazine. To communicate modern medical research vividly and to classify new results - with this goal the German Centres for Health Research (DZG) publish their first joint magazine. In "SYNERGIE" they show how interdisciplinary and networked research can help people achieve better health.

Cancer, dementia, diabetes, infections, cardiovascular and lung diseases - despite great advances in medicine, far too many people suffer from these widespread diseases. In the German Centers for Health Research, well over a thousand scientists and doctors have joined forces to break new ground in prevention, treatment and healing. The focus is always on people - they should benefit from the research results as quickly as possible. Because "translation" - the rapid translation of successful laboratory research into diagnostic, preventive and treatment methods - is the goal that the DZG has set itself.

In the first issue, the magazine "SYNERGIE" communicates in a generally understandable and descriptive way how translation can succeed and how it is implemented by the DZG. Success stories, portraits, news and background information on DZG projects in research laboratories and clinics throughout Germany.
