DZNE Policy on US Public Health Service Regulation of Financial Conflicts of Interest
The United States federal government has established standards to promote objectivity in research. Institutions and investigators applying for grants from US federal and other funding agencies (including the Public Health Service (PHS) and National Institutes of Health (NIH)) must comply with regulations concerning the reporting and management of significant financial interests (SFI) and financial conflicts of interest (FCOI).
To support its investigators’ participation in US-funded research, the DZNE has established a specific policy to meet the requirements as defined by US federal law (42 CFR 50 Subpart F).
